Prepare our members for regulation under the new Health Professions and Occupations Act (HPOA)
Conducted training sessions for new Quality Assurance program
Delivered in person updates to members at all five health authority regions
Successfully advocated for the removal of GST on psychotherapy services
Be an integral and contributing partner to the Clinical Counselling/Psychotherapy regulatory process along with the Ministry of Health
Successfully advocated for the designation of “psychotherapy” as a health profession
Invited to participate in multiple BC Advisory Panels (HABCN, CDC, MoH)
Continued to develop regulatory building blocks for use by the Regulatory College (QACC)
Prepare the BCACC to continue to be THE premier mental health association for professionals in British Columbia
Referred 125,000 members of the public to members through our Find a Counsellor tool
Received a National award from CSAE for our advocacy efforts
Experienced tremendous membership growth (8000+ RCCs, 1000+ students)
Enhance the governance and operations of the Association to effectively fulfill its strategies
Filled all 12 of our Board of Directors seats for enhanced governance
Purchased our own premises and paid off the related mortgage
Enhanced our operations and organizational structure to better serve our members
